A note from Dr. Oh

This may suit you if…
Surgery worries you, recovery time feels like a burden, or you’d rather not have a large amount of filler. It may also suit you if you’ve considered collagen stimulators such as Juvelook or Sculptra but worry about lumps (nodules), or find the repeat sessions too costly.
If your face has little volume or weak structural support, and people have told you your face looks flat or that you look older than your age, 3cc Face LINE ON can help bring back features that have become hidden.
This may not suit you if…
If your face has very little volume, 3 mL may not be quite enough. In that case, you can start with 3 mL and, if you’re happy with the result, add more filler or add facial fat transfer later.
We also don’t recommend it if your face is fuller and reducing volume matters more than adding it. Even so, if areas that need structural support lack volume, treatment may still be an option. We’ll give you a clear answer after examining you.
Procedure, time & anesthesia
We examine and analyze your face, then spend about 5–10 minutes talking through where volume is missing, which areas to fill and your skin elasticity.
The treatment takes 5–10 minutes. You can choose between local anesthesia and IV sedation.
Pain, recovery & returning to daily activities
The anesthetic may hurt a little as it goes in, but the treatment itself usually isn’t very uncomfortable. When the anesthetic wears off later that day, people who are sensitive to pain may feel mild discomfort or a sense that something is under the skin, though most people don’t.
You can return to daily activities the same day. Please avoid alcohol for 1 week after treatment.
Results, how long they last & repeat treatment
You can see the change right after treatment. There may be some mild swelling for 2–3 days.
How long it lasts varies from person to person, but it’s usually about 1–2 years. If needed, a small touch-up can be done after about a month. Touch-ups are charged separately.
A common misconception
Two common worries are that filler will slide down over time, and that it can’t be removed later without being scraped out.
When filler is placed deep and in small amounts where the face needs structural support, it rarely moves. If it ever needs to be removed, it can be dissolved with an enzyme injection (hyaluronidase). Injected accurately, this leaves almost no trace.

What’s the difference between Korean-made and imported fillers?
It’s less about Korean-made versus imported than about the manufacturer. Each company has its own way of producing hyaluronic acid and of treating the cross-linking agent, which affects how much of it remains after the final washing. Each also has its own processes, standards and specifications for the filler’s physical properties.
Why use 3 mL of filler in total instead of treating each area separately?
Because a face is about the balance of the whole, not about individual parts.
How do you decide where to put filler on my face and how much?
Faces vary too much from person to person to fit a single formula. I look at your face to see where structural support is lacking, then set priorities within the fixed amount of filler.
Can filler cause an allergic reaction?
Rarely, yes. Because filler isn’t your own tissue, it can occasionally cause an allergic or hypersensitivity reaction. If that happens, we dissolve the filler with an enzyme injection (hyaluronidase) so your body can absorb it.
Is 3 mL of filler really enough?
For most people, yes. The aim isn’t to add volume and make the face bigger, but to reinforce the areas where the face lacks structural support.
