FAQ
When is Renuvion not enough?
Dr. Oh’s answer
If there is a lot of loose skin that forms a large fold when pinched, Renuvion alone may not be enough. Surgery to remove the excess skin may suit you better, and we’ll tell you honestly after examining you.
Renuvion sits between lifting done from the skin surface and surgery that removes skin. It works well for mild to moderately loose skin.
In these cases, Renuvion alone is unlikely to tighten the skin as much as you want:
· There is so much excess skin that it hangs over your waistband
· Your abdominal muscles have separated after childbirth, making your belly stick out (this is a muscle issue, so tightening the skin won’t flatten it)
· You want to remove stretch marks (Renuvion isn’t a treatment for stretch marks)
How much the skin can be tightened is decided at your examination, based on your skin condition and how loose it is. We’ll explain what you can expect from Renuvion and what it’s unlikely to change.
